It's just random. I heard that doing these is good practice and can help you learn to paint faster in general. That's something I need, because I tend to spend hours tweaking small barely noticeable details.
I didn't use refs for this (I dunno why she looks old, my sketch she doesn't xD) but for the next one I will.
