The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Yeah, if you like your digital paintings the way they look on your computer screen, do NOT print them X_x

I had to print out a ton of stuff for a school interview today, and the colours are just...completely nerfed. x_x I was so dissappointed. I'm hoping everything still looks alright, and I'm going to put them into my portfolio anyways (they make up the majority of it, so I have to >.< ), I was just expecting something different I guess.

Once I get this interview over with I can relax. If I get in I'll be ecstatic, if not... well I don't wanna think about that end right now. xD

Really wish I could stop being lazy and edit this css too, I freaking hate it >_>

wow that stinks, i've been wondering how my stuff would look if i tried printing it, since lots of its just photos i think'd i'd send mine to i thinks its snapfish, but its all edited and put in negative so i'm nerviouse if it;'ll freaak out and be messed up too...

To be honest, the quality of the printer might make a difference. I've heard printing photos with a lazer printer doesn't turn out as well as with ink jet, so there are probably other elements to have good photo prints too.
