It is now 4:04pm. I have been awake for roughly 40 hours, and I STILL can't sleep. I haven't been drinking of eating anything with excessive amounts of sugar or anything of the sort. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to sleep normally, but I can't.
What's worse is, I'm running out of ways to entertain myself. I've already filled half a sketch book, Watched all 12 episodes of Shingetsutan Tsukihime (which incidentally has one of the worst endings I have ever seen, despite being interesting the whole way through), built an elaborately decorated mansion for my Vampire Sims and played with my dog. Not to mention countless hours in front of the computer and watching regurlarly scheduled TV programs.
*sigh*
In retrospect, I guess it would have been more productive to look up CURES for insomnia, but apparently I'm not bright enough to realise this early on x_x;

This...honestly sounds like a real problem you should have investigated. That's not good.
I've always suffered from the odd bout of insomnia, even right back when I was in secondary school. The problem was a lot worse then though. I believe at one point I was up over 60 hours, and it was during important exams X_x those were rough times.
