A R T - T R A D E S</u>
I'm just going to pop this into my journal posts as an OT but I'm open for art trades. It will be good experience, so if anyone is interested leave a note~-----------------------------------------
Yeah, so, since spring is approaching, I have decided to nuke half my gallery as a sort of "spring clean"

. Some stuff in it is just terrible, old, and I have improved so much it looks like it's not even done by the same person >.<. I figured as a late new years resolution, I'd stop uploading my half assed crap. I guess I could always upload my doodles to scraps or something... I dunno, I need to think on it.
I am sort of on the verge of nuking everything though, to be honest X_x there is a LOT of stuff in there I really don't like anymore.
I might also stop attempting to draw anime. God I suck at it XD
Well, I do understand, trust me, being the tortured artist that I am. 8P I'd suggest you move things to Scraps though. You know, it can be useful to have an archive to look at your work and see how you have progressed. And well, in this kind of place, others can, too. Uh, if that interests you. 8P
Well, if you really want to be able to draw in a manga-ish style, I say just don't give up. I mean, really. Just...keep practicing and working on it like everything else. I'm not sure what else to say. 8P
I used to work like that a lot more than I do now, but I decided I personally just didn't want that to be the ONLY thing I could do. I tried to phase myself out of it, but you know, I've been doing it for so long that influences still remain with me that I just can't get rid of. Which, well, I don't want to get rid of them, but you know what I mean. There are still styles of humor and expression that I love, and I think will always do, but as far as structure goes, I've been doing less of it. I still like it though. But well, obviously, all you'd have to do is look in my gallery to see the kinds of things I've been doing over the years. 8P
Also, I'd sort of like to develop my own style, you know?
And I'm not sure I want people seeing my bad stuff. I always save a copy of the things I do, so that isn't really an issue for me. It's just a bit embarrassing when I look at soem of the thigns I have submitted. It makes me cringe
But I know what you mean. Sometimes trying to lose too much of things that have influenced you ins't good either. I suppose I need to find a balance.
But I know what you mean. You gotta just do what you feel is right and natural. It'll all come to you. But being able to switch between styles is also good, as it makes you versatile. That's what I've been trying to work on. It sounds more like you want to focus on more 'natural'-looking and feeling styles, and that's fine, there's nothing wrong with that. You gotta do what you feel.
Well, I do understand about not wanting people to see....stuff you're not happy with...Yeah... >.>
